Welcome
Hobart Baptist Church, is a community of ordinary people who live across Hobart and meet at our building at 284 Elizabeth St, Hobart. We are made up of people of many kinds including young families, senior citizens, students, children, young people as well as many Karen (refugees from Burma).
We meet on Sundays at 10am (English service), 11:45am (Karen service) and at 2pm (Church With No Walls which is designed for those who find life and church a little more difficult than most of us). Many other groups meet through the week on various days and on Fridays there is Meet&Make (10am), Boys Brigade (5:30pm) and Youth Group (7pm).
Baptists have been part of the Hobart community since the 1830s and over the years have been a contributor to the ongoing health and life of our great city. Our current pastoral team consists of Stephen Baxter (Senior pastor), Stan Hince (Visitation pastor), Paw Nay (Karen congregation) and Frank Cole (Church With No Walls).
Please take the time to join us at any of our services. If you would like to make contact or have a question then contact us at hbaptist@hobartbaptist.org.au or ring us on 03 6234 1816.
We look forward to meeting you.
